We have really been enjoying our post office unit. One of our favorite activities has been going on a stamp hunt. We read the story, "We're Going to the Post Office," which Miss Erin wrote to go along with the activity. The story told us about how we had letters to send to Blue, Magenta, Periwinkle, and Tickety-Tock. Before we could mail the letters, though, we had to find stamps for them! Each child was given two postcards that had a 1,2,3,or 4 in the corner for the stamp. We walked around the building looking for stamps that had the same number as our postcards! When everyone had stamps on their postcards, we brought the postcards back to the room and practiced matching them to the correct mailboxes! It was a lot of fun! Want to read this book at home?
